Dr. Jessica Poulin receives prestigious Teaching Innovation Award

The UB Teaching Innovation Awards recognizes outstanding faculty achievement in teaching innovation.  Dr. Poulin has distinguished herself through her exceptional contributions to the teaching mission of the University and through her generous and selfless service to the University’s academic community.  Among her many accomplishments, Dr. Poulin has lead the renovation of the first-year introductory biology classroom and laboratory experiences, and the reimagining of the Departmental Honors Program.

In addition, Dr. Poulin is an active and engaged member of the Department’s Undergraduate Affairs Committee, a member of the General Education Curriculum Sub-Committee on Scientific Inquiry, and the CAS General EducationImplementation Committee in support of the newly-implemented UB Curriculum.  She is also an active player and committee member in the campus chapter of Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE; a national and international program of engagement).

Dr. Poulin is a recent recipient of a UB EXCITE (University at Buffalo Excellence in Course Instruction Through Enquiry) grant to promote innovation in teaching and learning at UB.
